Privacy Policy
We treat your privacy as an amanah — a trust placed in our care. This page describes exactly what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Nothing automatically. This website uses:
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, Plausible, Umami, or any other tracking service.
- No advertising trackers. No pixels, no remarketing, no third-party JavaScript.
- No cookies of our own. Your browser may set a single
localStorageentry to remember your light/dark theme preference; that never leaves your device. - No third-party fonts. All fonts are self-hosted.
- No third-party JavaScript at runtime.
What we collect when you contact us
The contact form on the home page submits four fields to us by email:
- Your name
- Your email address
- An interest category (optional)
- Your message
We keep these only for the duration of the conversation that follows. If you ask us to delete any record of our exchange, we will. There is no marketing list, no CRM, no automated follow-up sequence.
Server logs
Our web server records standard HTTP access logs (IP address, requested URL, user-agent, response status, timestamp). These are kept for at most 30 days and used only to diagnose problems and detect abuse. They are not exported, not joined with any other data, and not used for analytics.
Third parties involved in delivery
- Cloudflare sits in front of
www.aice-lab.bdfor DNS and edge proxying. By virtue of being on the path, Cloudflare sees your IP and request URL; their logging is governed by their own privacy policy. - Let’s Encrypt issues the TLS certificate. They don’t see traffic.
- Gmail SMTP currently relays contact-form submissions: our server sends each submission through Google’s SMTP service, from a Google account we control, to
[email protected]. Google sees the message in transit. We are working to migrate to a self-hosted mail relay; until then, Google’s SMTP service handles the handoff. - Proton Mail hosts the
[email protected]mailbox where submissions and direct emails land, under Proton’s privacy policy.
Your rights
Write to [email protected] and ask:
- What data we hold about you
- For us to delete any of it
- For us to correct anything
We respond within two business days.
